Hapé—pronounced "hah-PEH" and also written as rapé, rapeh, or hape—is a sacred Amazonian tobacco snuff that has been prepared and used ceremonially by indigenous tribes of the Amazon basin for thousands of years. Traditional hapé is made from powdered mapacho (sacred jungle tobacco) blended with the medicinal ashes of specific trees and plants, ground and prayed over by the medicine men and women who prepare it.
Unlike recreational tobacco, hapé is not smoked and not inhaled—it is blown into the nostrils using a self-applicator pipe called a kuripe (for personal practice) or a serving pipe called a tepi (when served by another). Received with intention, hapé is used for grounding and centering, clearing the mind and energy field, deepening meditation and prayer, connecting with the spirit of Father Tobacco, and supporting ceremony with other sacred medicines.
Like any sacred medicine, what hapé gives you reflects how you approach it. Taken casually, it can fade into just another habit. Met with knowledge, reverence, and skillful technique, it becomes one of the most grounding and heart-opening allies on the medicine path. That is what this online hapé training is here for: helping you build a relationship with rapé that is safe, rooted in tradition, and true to your own path.
This first training is your foundation. It's where your personal relationship with hapé (rapé) begins. You'll learn not just the mechanics of self-application, but how to work with this sacred tobacco medicine in a way that is intentional, sovereign, and energetically clean.
In Hapé Training 1, you'll be guided through how to use hapé on yourself with prayer, protection, and clarity—building a direct connection to the spirit of the medicine. This training honors the ancestral roots of hapé while making the practice accessible and grounded for modern spiritual work and daily ritual. Perfect for those new to hapé or seeking to deepen their self-practice.
Hapé Training 2 is where your connection to the medicine expands into sacred service. In this training, you'll learn how to serve hapé (rapé) to others using grounded, ethical, and energetically clean practices that honor both the spirit of the medicine and the person receiving it.
You'll be guided through traditional and modern methods of serving with the tepi, how to prepare the space, set clear intention, and support others in ceremony, healing work, or personal ritual. This training blends ancestral wisdom with practical techniques, helping you stay in integrity while adapting to the needs of each moment. Ideal for aspiring facilitators or practitioners who feel called to serve hapé as part of their spiritual or ceremonial path.
Txana Seberūa is a medicine man with over a decade of devoted experience walking the path of sacred plant medicine. He has followed the traditional path of dieta, prayer, and apprenticeship that authentic curanderos undertake. He prepares hapé in the ancestral way—during strict master plant dietas, entirely by hand, using traditional methods, sacred ashes, and prayers and sacred songs infused into every medicine preparation.
In this training, Txana shares the knowledge and experience he has gained through more than ten years of study and immersion in the Amazon rainforest, learning directly from Indigenous elders, traditional healers, and the Asháninka, Huni Kuin, Noke Koi, and Shanenawa peoples. His teachings offer a deep understanding of the sacred use of tobacco, transmitted directly from the living source of these ancestral traditions.

In this training, Shamama teaches the practical arc—technique, safety, energetic hygiene, ceremony structure, and the honest inner work of the medicine path—so that what you learn doesn't stay theory, but becomes practice.
